Just pull that A/C hose up and out of the fender...

Just pull that A/C hose up and out of the fender and front panel. This will give you room to remove the air filter box top. Dont forget to re-install the A/C hose back.

Feel both heater hoses going inside the firewall. If both are hot than check the blend door. I have seen this doors break.

First check fuel pressure. Spec is around 40 psi. The cooling fan will move freely but have a little resistance.

I would check the timing chain cover and water...

I would check the timing chain cover and water pump with a straight edge and feeler gauge. Could have a uneven spot? But I would not use Blue RTV. Copper Coat is another good choice for gaskets.

Check the heater case (plenum) the door breaks inside the case. The door is called the blend door. But you will have to buy the plenum to get the part.
