One thing I noticed with one of our other toilet shut-off valves, I couldn't tighten (close) it, by hand.
Should I use a large pliers and try to force it to close?
It is important the valve work,...

Leaking toilet shutoff valve

Toilet shut-off valve leaking. Am posting a photo.

Looking online, this appears to be a compression valve.
Would replacement require sawing and a lot of work?

I'm thinking it might be easier...

I think I will purchase a spackling compound and layer it in small layers over the existing joint compound, then sand.

Not sure why I used this joint...

Or... should I cover existing with patch compound?

Would it make sense to pull some/ most of the compound out, and replace with the patch compound?

Drywall hole repair joint compound question

Repairing 2 holes which held bathroom towel rack anchors.
Used a 3M repair screen, which fits inside the wall.
Applied standard Dap joint compound, probably about 1/2" in thickness, maybe more....
