Looks to me like a Double-pole/Double-throw switch. I suspect Top Left is Common for the top 2 terminals on the right and Bottom Left is Common for the bottom 2 terminals on the right.

If there were smoke detectors on the alarm system. make sure you have working smoke alarms less than 10 years old.
Smoke alarms are inexpensive and I wouldn't bet my life on an old one. Just me.

If this is a Z1100e, there is an internal fuse that will make the power light blink if it opens. Don't remember if this is true on the original Z1100 or the Z1100 System II.

Only Napco panel I did a firmware3 upgrade on was a 3000 and that was a chip change. That was also 15 years ago.
Sounds like you are upgrading the firmware using the Napco upload/download software....

The 4219 connects to the keypad buss which, under certain conditions, can be sloooooow. That's probably the reason it isn't recommended for use with Life Safety Devices.
