No error codes. Light always stays solid ON. Which is odd in and of itself if it keeps cycling it should recognize an issue, so maybe that’s a separate underlying problem.

Goodman furnace burners won’t stay lit

Unit is a 1993 Goodman GMPN060-3.

Stat calls for heat, ignitor heats up, burners come on and then go right back out after a few seconds.

It does this a few times before it finally stays lit....

Thanks! Framing is all 16” on center. I over screwed it too so it should be just fine with no sag. Just didn’t know if code REQUIRED the 5/8” fire drywall for interior soffit’s.

Thanks for the input. I just checked with the manufacturer and they recommend installing over cement board. So I guess I will be installing cement board first.

If I understand what your saying I can just tap into the existing gfci up above the counter for a ground only and then use the existing wires coming out...
