I'd cut it off and use pex pipe with shark bite fittings. I go copper for straightforward stuff but when it gets hinky, I go shark bites and pex.

If the bath is small, I'd ditch the shower light and put a big combo light/fan/heat unit in the center. If you have a vanity or sconce type light, you would have plenty of light.

I have an LG fridge and the only noise I can think of is the noise of ejecting the ice cubes into the holding tray. It is a bit annoying. Try turning off the icemaker and see if the noise stops.

PJMax, thanks. I installed a couple of boxes with the BX clamps and hated the fact that NM cable is hard as %#$% to get thru it. Now I know I was buying the wrong kind of boxes.

I don't cover any vents in the attic. If you have the proper amount of insulation above the ceiling, I'd say you are good. If any moisture comes in thru the vent, that is another issue.
