diverter

if your diverter is a handle type change the washer if it is the pull up type change the tub spout. some tub spouts will still alow some water to pass. Cheep design.
Korkey has a really good flapper...

the moen is the pull on valve you are probably looking at. and yes you need to replace the entire valve body. I recomend a good delta valve they are easy to work on and change the parts in.
