My home is 50+ years old. About 10 years ago, I replaced the toilets with Alexis brand (Sam's Club) dual flush.

installed FINALLY

Thanks all. I wound up cutting off the copper line including the valve that needed a new seat. I used a quick connect ball valve (no sweating) and SS braided hose with 90° connect.

No leaks....

I checked that first. It was leaking from the pump seal. I checked the seal, removed the marble and it seems to be operating fine now. Still watching for a few cycles with kick plate removed.

The float was gummy so I took it off and gave it a good scrubbing with degreaser.
The filter was one again FILTHY! Cleaned that during the tear down of pump...

taking apart AGAIN. Pulled off motor and pump. Dusty. Wiped down and sprayed with compressed air. Coupling looks okay and pump moves freely. I'm not yet convinced I need to replace either. Hmmmm...
