Or maybe you got the wires swapped on the pickup coils. Is this a pre 1998 engine with the plastic cams? Could be a bad cam gear too.

Well turns out the stem kit for this vintage 220 valve is obsolete. According to Taco it requires a full valve replace. If I do replace it will not be with another Taco thats for sure.

I guess a check valve in the suction line is worth a shot. Otherwise I'm out thousands to replace the foot valve and/or search for a leak in the well pipe.

Thanks for the suggestion. I usually try to avoid that since I`ve noticed that`s usually when the stem seizes up. But in this case it might buy me time until I can replace the darn thing.
