there is also a static governor adjustment to do whenever carb has been removed and put back on. Common to have to do that to stop surge on briggs and had it on a tecumseh once as well

if you have a generator that you don't start at least monthly and let it run awhile then you'll have one that won't run when you need it because the carb will be all gummed up
