I need to replace a thermostat. I know there is very little power in the system, but should I disconnect a wire from the transformer? I never thought it made any difference.

White Rodgers Zone Valve Question

Has anyone ever taken apart a White Rodgers zone valve motor housing to see if it has oil in it? There is a rubber gasket between the two housings. One of mine was leaking, and it was definitely oil....

Amperage question

My home was built in 1961. I have a 100 amp panel. I noticed I have six 20 amp circuits, but nothing but 15 amp receptacles. Is this a problem? Never had any problems in 30 years.
