So the central should be able to heat the house well, but is poorly installed.

The unit is above one bedroom, at the corner of the house. So the other side of the house (most open side) stays...

No, the pellet stove is not in the attic. I really am not interested in getting the air handler going. It would consist of adding more...

DHP or wall heaters?

I posted a while back on this but didn't get much result from it.

We have a home built in 1941. The flippers installed a very underpowered ducted air handler that is actually supposed to be used...

Air gap spewing water no clog

I do apartment maintenance for a living, so I thought this would be a no-brainer.

No disposal, so that's not clogged. None of the lines are clogged at all. There's also a small leak somewhere...

Okay, folks. I've decided to do both. We will do a bit with pavers, and keep some grass. We do need to keep the home marketable when we move out of it before too long.

Here is our street side. It...

Re-do lot or get a mower & trimmer?

We have a ~3,000 sq. ft. lot that is pretty uneven. We have a reel mower, but the uneven lot makes it a hassle to mow, so we went and bought a $40 gas mower from the local yard guy in the...

Mower kicked smoke on start, now won't start. Oil came out exhaust.

I didn't want a gas mower for this very reason, but the Fiskars StaySharp 18" just wasn't cutting it.

Somehow, after only two uses of purchasing this mower in great used condition, it has died....

I hope I did a good enough job with these images. Bear with me. If you need any more images, please let me know. It's a busy weekend, but I should be able to get some.

Yep we have thought about swales and dry creek beds. It would severely change the design of our lot, though. And I'm not sure where to put one.

Also, I could build soil up against the house since...

There are many issues concerning regrading. The garage is behind the house, and is the lowest point on the lot. So the grade would probably be very sharp and would create a sort of canyon in the...

Hmm. So what I'm doing is building a retaining wall and bringing the level of the ground down below the entry to the crawl space to prevent further water intrusion. This ground...

On the left, coming out of the crawl space is something else. The only thing I can guess is...

It isn't the pit. There is no pit. Or 'well', as they're called. I'm going to dig one tomorrow, line it with all purpose gravel, and build a retaining wall two bricks high.
