DAP alex plus is one of the poorer preforming caulks. I'm partial to the 'white lightning' brand. Both SWP and Lowes sells it, probably others also.

I don't know if all plants are covered or not but Lowes has a 1 yr warranty on plants and trees. If they die, all you do is bring in the dead plant and receipt and they'll replace it for free.

Your compressor should operate a nail gun although it might not handle rapid fire .... and a roofing nailer usually shoots 5-6 nails in short order before it gets time to recover.
