Ray, though it will cost more and extend the fix up time, I would much rather do it right than just use what I have because I have it. While we do not plan on spending more than a few more years...

As much as I would love to buy plywood, and I will likely wait until I...

OSB for bathroom

I got two full sheets of 3/4 inch OSB for free today and I'm wondering if I can use it under 1/4 inch cement board with tile over that? I could use it other places, but I would really like to get...

Wildbill, I have been told to remove the top 6" of soil as well but that is just not financially feasible for 90% of the world. Aside from that, the roots seem to go deeper than 6" anyway and if you...

How exactly do you inoculate it? I got play sand just now. I didn't get lime because it isn't dog safe if they eat it and our 3 pits aren't exactly the epitome of intelligence. What is the best...

Thanks for all the great tips! What's kind of funny about our yard is it grows grass in the spring, then all of a sudden the weeds take over even if I water it. I don't think the gras that's planted...

Anyone ever done a clover lawn?

We bought our HUD home 4 years ago and despite best efforts (not really), the yard still looks like crap. I don't want to use chemicals and we have morning glory throughout the yard. I've done some...

Skilsaw HD77 doesn't work

I picked this saw up cheap with some other tools, changed the cord as it was spliced to an un-grounded low gauge extension cord. That did nothing for it. Blade is really stiff to turn by hand,...

The insulation I used in the past was completely plastic wrapped except the cut ends. I don't mind having to cover the Roxul in plastic, a sheet is much easier to staple up than batts of insulation....
