The less you use a batt. the shorter its life is. I have serviced fire trucks that if batts. lasted a year that was good. As far as I know there is no test that is 100% for batts.either.

The softener seems to be working. I ran it thru a cycle manually as a test. The water is soft just smelly.If the softener isn't working you can hardly get soap to lather and I haven't had that...

I have a shallow well that has sulphur in it but the water softener has handled it till recently. Over night the "rotten egg" smell has gotten bad. When someone takes a shower it stinks up the house....

If the batt had a dead short you wouldn't be able to jump it. And yes they can die in a short period of time. Had one quit while watching a movie at the drive in.

Im not up on the newer stuff but my old Chev truck (1990) had poor heat till I removed the restrictor fitting in the heater hose where it comes off the intake. It will bake you now.

I had a splitter on my satellite box which was co-ax terminals. Now they replaced the box with one that has HDMI. It does have RCA plugs. How can I hook up my other set?
