On my NAA it says to check the hydraulic fluid level with all cylinders up. My tractor does have an aftermarket bucket but if you took that out of the equation you'd still want the 3 pt hitch raised...

If it were me, I'd think about replacing the gate and enlarging it so I wouldn't be so limited by mower size. I've got 3/4 acre and it takes 2 hours with a 38" riding mower.

IMO a concrete floor is preferable over a wood floor. Since it's just an 8x8 it shouldn't be a big deal to mix and pour 2"-3" over what you have.

Ok..... you have confirmed a defective breaker. The latch is internally bad. It will need to be replaced.

Be sure you push the breaker hard to OFF before turning on. This can reset it.
