Typically the motor has a forward reverse configuration with that many wires and it should have a diagram on the name plate for connection. If it doesn't say 120/240, then it is probably reversable....

Shutters are theway to go. Don't buy the cheap plastic ones. If you have tools, you can make them out of cedar and use the dark brown stain from your siding boards. It will look great.

Cheap gets you no where. Stick with a big name. I bought on the cheap and went with LG as my "first" DVD burner. It lasted maybe 10 burns. Now I will buy that Sony.
