Thanks for the responses. Found that the wire from the fuse to the key switch was internitent which is why I thought that connection was good. Replaced that wire and all is good in the world!

Briggs seems to be starving for fuel.

Decided to check compression, 30psi hot. Let it cool, put it tdc on compression stroke and heard air coming from exhaust. Need I say more!!!!!
