I hate to say it but that's the signs of a bad...
I hate to say it but that's the signs of a bad head gasket for that engine. Those 3.4L motors are very common for intake leaks and head gaskets. The head gaskets don't like the overheating.

That's also call a park arm and crank arm. Sometimes there is also a little metal tab on the wiper frame that the crank arm need to contact that gets bent out of the way.

Don't blame GM or the dealer. The reason the radio locked up was not because of the disconnected battery. It's from the new BCM you installed that apparently was not set up correctly.

I am going to guess that it's the seat heating elements that are bad. It sounds like the heater control module keeps trying to turn the elements on but senses a problem and turns off right away.

My guess is that it's for the recirculation door. That mixes the outside air vs cabin air. Is it needed, that depends on what position the door is stuck in. You could end up fogging up the inside...
