How high would the baseboard trim if ceramic tile is used ?

So if someone uses ceramic tile for molding or trim then how high would the tile be off the ground ? Would 4" be a typical maximum height ?

The repair is in between two shelves in a closet. Would the damage area have to be cut and meshed over or can you use the drywall sheet paper as tape. The damage section seems to be holding out fine...
