Ok...so if the bigger baseboard unit was 1700 watts and the smaller unit was 1200 watts then I would need to have a capacity of 1900 watts...and so using your formula 240v * 20amps = 4800 watt...

If you work with any sheet goods (plywood etc.) I would put the outlets at 54"...otherwise when you lean that 4x8 sheet against the wall you will cover your outlets...
