I took the wires off the air handler for W2 and W3. The 24V defrost wire at the outdoor HP is the one energized. (black HP wire). Why would the outdoor HP be sending defrost signal?

Good point. I disconnected the AUX2 wire from the EIM. While in cool mode, the EIM AUX2 pin was 0V, while the disconnected wire from the EIM which goes to the HP is 24V. HP board bad?

Ok, I dug into it. I am getting 24V at the EIM module at AUX 2, which is like the unit is wanting to be in defrost mode EVEN though the unit is in COOL mode.

Not sure why it would be doing this?

Well Jay, I am officially running now. I did hook up G from EIM to G at air handler to G at HP. Everything seems to be running fine. I will keep you posted. Again, thanks for all the help. Take care.
