How to properly ground an anti static wrist band

My son is about to start building his own computer. I bought him an anti static arm band but i'm not sure where to clip it to . Is the new case a good place?

replacing old doors with new

replacing old hollow doors with new solid....removed one of the old doors to use as a template...all the demensions are close requiring that i make one cut to reduce the height of the new door...

thx for the help...the black wires were just spliced together....breakers are off...i'm going to do as suggested...rewire as the old light was and just pigtail the two black wires back...
