I am putting a dehumidifier down there. I'm sure the floor above is not air tight. Do I need a vent or can dehumidifier just test that air. I don't want to blow warm air outside in the winter.

It is installed vertical, so v runs too to bottom. With baseboard there are little gaps where the groves are. I'm stuck with baseboard and will caulk but am thinking about vanity before install.

I don't understand the clear caulk. Aren't you just going to paint the caulked gaps the same color as baseboard? I was planning on regular paintable caulk?
