I like the 'The Complete PC Upgrade & Maintence Guide' by Mark Minasi. I have the tenth edition which is approximately 1500 pages. www.amazon.con carries it, it is now in it's 16th edition. Good book

I don't have XP as a OS on my pc, just Win98, When I defrag. in normal mode, it can take a couple of hours or more. In safemode it takes somewhat over 30 minutes.

I cam answer (2). When I lived in Garden Grove, CA. The house I owned used Push-Matic breakers, I had to replace a number of them over the years do to breaker failure. They were not very realiable.
