Router bit question

I'm going to be making some bookshelves, using dados. Looks like I'm going to have to spring for a 23/32 or 11/16 bit.

Is there any functional difference between a "mortising" vs a "straight" bit?

Oil based paint spills on floor. I've tried rubbing thinner with a soft cloth, but no results. I'm afraid to even try a fine steel wool

Anybody have any experience on this?

Thanks

Thanks for the help

Just did the repair, and it came out (almost) perfect. Just a slight (1/32") gap at one end, which drywall dust and dog hair will soon fill!!

Thanks again.

Replace one laminite plank

Any ideas on how to replace ONE plank in the middle of the floor?

Sub floor is concrete, so the floor was floated over the concrete on top of a pad.

Thanks
