I measured incorrectly and have a 38 1/4 X 39 1/2 square infront of my entry way door. Adding wood to frame it out is not an option. Please tell me what you would do w/ 12" slate tiles.

(1) After I'm done, I would like the currently switched receptacle to be:
(1A) Still controlled by the same switch that controls the new overhead light.
