I managed to fix the problem but I'm not sure how or why. I used compressed air around the pilot area, and the gas valve. Maybe there was some dirt blocking the ports? Anyway it works now.

I took photos of the styrofoam. You can see it and the zip tie as well. For some reason the photos are upside down :) but the styrofoam is on the bottom not the top of the blower.
