Condenser model number is a must.
If this is a communicating system..... you may need to get a Rheem tech in.

Neutral and ground should be bonded in the outside main panel.
That means the panel inside is now a sub panel and requires four wires so that the neutrals and grounds...

In response to your question, no problems will occur other than a ground fault circuit interrupter (if any) inside the generator tripping. GF units in the house will not trip simply becauise you...

Since you want to connect both legs of the 240v service together..... nothing will happen to the 240v only appliances. Anything labeled as 120/240v...... like a range or dryer.... could partially run...
