Uneven joints of drywall

I had to install new drywall next to old panels. They turned out uneven in some parts. The most uneven part I'd about 3/16ths or so. How should I go about mudding this?

Handling a rough drywall edge

I need to hang drywall to butt against an existing wall. The picture is of the edge that need joined to. How should I handle this edge to make mudding easy?

I do, a circular saw. Might be a bit tricky to cut long ways but I'll make it work. Instead of using tapcon what about ramset. Seems like it would be easier since I wont have to rent a hammer drill.
