I want to make myself a comforter using the material found here. Can anyone give me fairly detailed instructions for making a comforter, or point me to a site that has instructions? Thanks much!

i dont know what kind of comforter you want to make or what size. but heres what i did for my daughters made from velvet. measure length of bed from pillow to where ever you want it to stop. times that by 2. thats how much fabric you will need . oops forgot to look at width. if its 54 for a double or queen bed that will be enough . split second length down middle and add to sides of first piece. do the same for the backing. cut a layer of batting same size i used a king size. and trimmed. lay layers on floor (unless you have a very big table). in this order batting. backing right side up ,front right side down. stitch all around leaving an opening to turn. turn and spot stitch or tie somehow to hold three layers together. if you have someone to help you with the layering and pinning great. i hope this helps. my daughters weighs a ton because it upholstery velvet but she had to have batting in it.
