Shirred To Pleated

I would like to take shirred draperies, cotton/poly, lined and make them into pleated drapes for a traverse rod. The traverse rod is 86 inches long and the shirred drapes are 80 inches wide. I know there used to be a stiffener you could buy to make pleated drapes but don't know if that is still available. Can someone help me out on how to do these? How much shirred would I need to make the pleated? Thank you...!!!

you don't have enough fabric to make this into a pinch pleated drapery. i don't know the exact calculations, but i can visualize that each pleat will take up about 3 inches EACH, and you've only got 6 extra inches to work with.

shirred to pleated

I realize that I would have to buy several panels but hope someone can lend me some of their experience. Thanks
