I am currently unable to use the stretch patterns on the sewing machine. The pattern module seems to be installed properly, but I can only get the first set of stitch patterns to work, regardless of how I change the settings. I can find absolutely NOTHING about this model on the internet (aside from sale adds for the machine and various parts), and the manual hasn't helped at all. I'd prefer to at least TRY to repair it myself, since we currently can't afford to take it into the shop. But I need to figure out what's wrong with it first. Any help would be appreciated.

Not a pro but is the sewing machine brand new?

Also, have you sewed stretch fabrics before and only have a problem with the machine you are now using?

 

It's about 20 years old, but we've only had it for about ten. It hadn't been used for several months. I just started playing with it again after I posted. It's fixed now...I opened up part of it and started playing with the pattern selection knob. I found a little arm that wasn't connecting like it should...basically, I guess it just needs some fresh oil...that, or it just decided to take revenge on me for not using it in so long.
