Any way to repair/reinforce worn spot on pants seat?

I have several pairs of Dockers-style pants that have a worn spot in the same place on the seat. Not clear to me how one would repair it other than de-stitching and reproducing the entire portion of the pant leg including the back pocket. Is there a product that will build up a worn place in fabric that will hold up to repeated laundering?

An iron-on patch on the inside.
