Which brands are better

Looking to do 1000sq of "click" style laminate wood floor.

There are quite a few manufactures so how do you narrow down the selection? 7mm or 8mm? Does a 25year warranty mean better quality?

Thanks

Flooring choices

A 25 year waranty does not neccesarily mean it is a better product. Do your homework and read the fine print. Alot of those 25 year war are 15 years from the manufacturer and 10 years from where you bought it and only if it is installed by there certifide installers. Opinions very on manufacturers and styles of clic some prefer armstrong some alloc. Find the flooring that best suits your application and go from there. DON"T go by looks.

Not ever living with wood floors before how do they hold up to animal abuse? I've got a 20+# monster cat that occasionally coughs up one huge hairball

Laminate is for kids and pets for a wide number of reasons. Find a brand with a very broad offering of color and patterns. The best brands tend to also be the brands with the most choice. Remember your are DECORATING your home and the decor must all work together. Next find a manufacturers written warrantee of 25 years or more as the manufacturer is underwriting his belief in the product. The larger brands may have as many as four quality levels and the warrantee term makes the seperation evident. Good luck with your product.
