Quarter round ends

How are the ends on quarter round usually treated where they end like at a door frame etc? Are they mitered?

I wouldn't think they would be cut at 90 degrees. Doesn't look good and might catch on things.

If the quarter-round sticks out further than trim, miter it back to the thickness of the trim.
