How can I get glue off my sub floor?

I spent the entire grueling weekend removing the old carpet from my living area. When I took the carpet up, the rubber bottom stuck to the floor board. After scraping up the rubber, I'm left with the truck load of glue they used to put the carpet down. If anyone has any tips on how I can get the glue off with a little less physical labour, I'd truly love to hear from you!

Thanks,
Jen

Removing glue adhesive

It depends upon the type of new floor covering as to what your next step is. Heat guns and scrapers and solvent based adhesive removers for the residue tend to be recommended. It depends upon what you are planning to install next and the manufacturer's recommendations are for subfloor and subfloor surface prep.
