How long was the laminate in your home, in the rooms to be installed in? Did you buy it, bring it home, and immediately start installing it?

Back by the paint section in the home improvement stores, you will find colored wood putty/filler.

Mash and push it in the gaps, then wipe with a towel that has minimal, mineral spirits on it.
