Rocking Chair on Laminate

I have a new Uniclick laminate floor in my living room and I am very happy with it.

I do have a question however, is it okay to have a rocking chair on it? Will it damage the finish or cause any problems for the joints??

Thanks for you help!
Bill

Rocking chair on laminate

As an extra precaution, I would install strips of self-stick felt protection on bottoms of rocking chair runners to protect floors. Felt protectors should be installed on all furniture. Avoid scooting furniture on floor.

Thanks twelvepole!

The felt is a good idea and I have it on my other chairs and couch. I guess that my main concern is that since it is a snap together floor, do I need to worry about the seams? Will the rocking cause the seams to fatigue and seperate?

Also, like I said, I have pieces of felt on my chairs, tables, couch, ect., do I need to put felt on the pieces of furniture that do not move? I have an antique pie safe that is in the corner of the dining room, would it require the felt???

Thanks again,
Bill
