Question engineered floors-how do i install?

i will be installing a lot of 1/2" engineered hardwood laminated tongue and groove flooring. i will (i assume) be installing this over some felt...here are my questions:

-what weight felt should i use?
-should the felt run perpendicular to the flooring?
- can i use a standard pneumatic nailer...or do i need a flooring nailer? (if i need the flooring nailer any recommendations that won't bankrupt me...since this is not my occupation)
-what size nail and/or staple should i use?
-should i start against a wall and work across the room?
- how do i finish the last row (or two) since the nailer would not fit inbetween the flooring tongue and wall?
-should i take a reading every so often to ensure i am still running parallel with the walls?
-any good websites that i should visit?

if there is anything i missed, or other info i could use, i would appreciate it. thanks in advance.

Installing engineered wood floors

Each manufacturer tends to have their own specific instructions on how to install their product in order to maintain warranties. Read and follow carefully regarding acclimation, surface prep, and installation. Many of the major manufacturers have websites with installation instructions and warranty info.
