Laminate steps???
I am in the process of replacing carpet with a laminate floor on the second floor of my house. I want to replace the carpet on the steps. Can I install laminate there also???

Yes, but it isn't a floating installation. Use liquid nails.
Plan the staircase out for stair nosing or end caps for the stair treads.
