Question Removing glue down hardwoods on slab!

Help! Anyone have any suggestions on a way to remove hardwood floors that have been glued down to a concrete slab?!

It's never an easy job especially with older adhesives. One would think with newer adhesives it would be harder but this is not the case but will depend on what type of floor is being removed. I feel for the people that may be ripping out some of my installs 20 and 30 years from now. Those that are made with many "refief cuts" on the back such as Mirage and Lauzon will be coming up in one inch sections. Others will be a little easier.

Try this photo link for some ideas. It's an image of a Bruce repair and I used a circular saw set at the depth of the material and cut the floor into 12" squares or less. Remove with a prybar and hammer from the TONGUE side.

Have fun with it
