GLue down, Nail, Staple, FLoat HELP

Ok, I am going to install a engineered hardwood floor. Probably a mirage or mannington. Depending on which one I choose I have those 4 installation options. THis will be on a 1st floor with a standard plywood subfloor. What are the pro's cons of each method.

I don't think there are many engineered wood floors out there that can be installed with the traditional nailing process. Most engineered floors are either glued or floated.

- Glue: solid and "quiet" floor, slower install, 1-2 day dry time
- Float: "noisy" floor, quick install, ready to use same day

Personally I prefer a glued engineer floor but I recommend you walk on some in the store to get a better feel for the final product.
Good luck.

Actually dm is wrong many of the engineered products available on the market can be stapled down with installation. the type of installation varies by the sub floor.
