Installing wood flooring
#1

I am getting ready to install glue down wood flooring on a cement floor. I have decided to put plywood down on the concrete slab first. What is the best way to secure the plywood to the concrete before gluing the wood floor on it? Thanks.

I'm not a professional contractor but, if it were my house, I'd float the whole thing on a vapor barrier on the slab. I'd use tongue in groove pressure treated plywood over a 8 to 10 mil vapor barrier and then put the flooring on top of that.
Hopefully a contractor will stop by and offer a better suggestion.
As far as fastening goes, if you want to do that, the first thing which came to my mind was a Hilti stud gun, the kind that uses an explosive charge to attach studs to concrete.....Don't know if that'll work in a flat floor type situation though....
Good luck!
