laminate installation around door frame
I am installing Pergo glueless flooring in our kitchen and dining room. There is a doorway to the basement that will be covered with laminate. Does anyone have any good suggestion for installing laminate around the doorway frame. I am assuming that I would just cut out the area and tap the joints together. I am assuming that you don't want just a narrow piece of the plank installed around the frame. This seems difficult to avoid depending on how you start your floor.
Do most people put trim (end molding) around the door frame to cover the 1/4" gap or do they just fill in with colored silicone sealant?
Thanks
