Glue down loose parquet

Hi,

I need to glue some loose parquet to a concrete slab. I can't take the squares up and so need something like a very small flexible tube and syringe contraption to squirt adhesive under the squares. I have had no luck finding something that will work. Any suggestions? Or, should I drill larger holes in the squares to introduce the glue and then fill them?

Hardwood from Lowes or HD....Is it worth it??

Bruce hardwood brand from Lowes and Armstrong laminates from HD.....I'm debating whether I should go with either of them, or go with the independant contrator/store. Anyone wanna share their happy or nightmare stories about going thru Lowes or HD with hardwood floors?? My #1 concern is price and workmanship. Are they competitive in these 2 categories compared to other contractors?? What brand, in your opinion/experiences, gives you the most value for your buck?? My limit for expenditure on floor is <$4/sq ft My last Q is: how is installation/labor charge from Lowes/HD compared to small contractors?? Too high?? considerably low?? Just bought a home, roughly 1600 square feet. With the exception of two rooms (about 170 square feet) everything else is hardwood floor that needs to be re-finished. I am planning on doing this work myself but am not sure the time I should allow myself to do the work. I know the article on this site lists the times to be between 8-18 hours per room, which I can beleive but I am going to need to rent the sanders and the buffers. Can anybody list the amount of time I will need to do the sanding and then the buffing? Thank you,Read More
