Lamiante over Concrete

Hi all, I just purchased approx 540 sq ft of the QuickStep Perspective. I am laying this down over a 3 yr old concrete floor.

Should I patch the small holes that are left after removing the rug tackless strips...

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

Anthony

I patch them if they are huge, across a transition or area walked on, and of coarse the homeowner I have bid high, because I could tell they were going to be extra picky, and no use explaining, when I charged them for this service in my bid.

What I would do now is stretch a string across the floor in all directions, to determine if the subfloor meets the 3/8 inch in 10 feet rule. If the floor has low spots greater then this, floor preparation is in need. Don't skip this, or you'll be sorry you did later.

Patch with a polymer fortified cement, like Ardex SD-F(Ardex.com)

OOPS! That should have read 3/16" in 10 feet or 1/8" in 6 feet.

That is how flat that subfloor needs to be to meet the manufacturers and industry standards for subfloor flatness. If it isn't, the product warranty is void. Read all the installation specifications fully and understand ALL of the instructions before starting!!!!!

Are you planning to undercut the doorjambs, if there are any to be undercut?

The installation specifications that are in ech carton of flooring, should outline and define acclimation.

Usually 48 full hours. Me personally, I let it sit for a week.
