Question Carpet backing stuck to wood floor

I am renovating a property. Most of the house has wood floors.

One room was carpeted (over the wood floor). The carpet has to come out do to flea infestation and serious odor. I pulled up the carpet, but the some of the backing material is stuck to the floor. What do ya'll suggest is the best method to remove the backing with the least amount of damage to the wood floor? Some type of solvent?

Thanks for the help,

no ,no solvent if the floor is to be refinished then go ahead a nd scrape the pad off and try not to dig into the wood to much something with a dull blade will be good
