Well, I just dragged home 700 sq. ft of Quick Step 8mm laminate- and [B]now[B] I start reading the forum...backasswards..
Anyway, I'm planning to install in a basement on an epoxy-coated concrete floor in good condition ( I still have to check for evenness). I plan to use the separate pad with poly barrier attached for the installation and plan to overlap the pad and duct-tape.
I chose this floor since the manufacturer warrants 25 yrs even for use in wet areas (bathroom) when following the prescribed installation instructions/materials- I am not installing in a bathroom and my basement is not prone to leaking or other moisture problems.
Question is, since basements are more humid in summer months, is it a better bet to install under those conditions so that future buckling is avoided or should I wait until Fall? For that matter, am I asking for trouble installing in the basement?Read More
I put polythurene on my dinning room floor. I followed the instuctions to a 'T'. The first two weeks the floor was beautiful.
Now, however I notice that there are some large spots that have a whiteish color and my floors are a dark brown. These spots make the floor look terriable.
What caused this and how do I correct this problem?
I need help fast as we will be having family here next month.
PLEASE, PLEASE HELP.Read More
