removing kitchen subfloor

How do I cut the subfloor under the cabinets? What tools can I use?

One of two ways........

The easiest is with a specialty tool called a toe-kick saw. They cost upwards of three hundred bucks and you'll only find it at flooring supply stores. (find out where flooring installers go to get their supplies in your area) That's a bit pricy for the home owner who will only ever use it once or twice. The other is to break it off as close to the cabinets as you can and go at it with a hammer, chisel and lots of elbow grease. No fun, but it will get the job done..... eventually.
