Wood Floor over ceramic tile?

Can I have a floating wood floor professionally installed over existing ceramic tile in a kitchen? What are the potential problems if I do this? The ceramic floor is not loose (although there are a few cracked tiles) - it's just really ugly. Thanks for your insight.

height may be a problem, maybe not depending on the fridge and other appliances.
If tiles come loose in time, maybe you will hear some noises?
I have had wood installed this way, and so far so good.

Thanks florcraft for your reply. I know that I will have a problem with the cabinet over the refrigerator but plan to cut the bottom of the cabinet for the additional clearance necessary. Any suggestions on how to do that, tools to use, etc.

Going over the tile won't be a problem unless the grout joints are greater then 3/8". Then you will need to emboss the joints. The tile installation needs to be flat without any lipped or dipped tile edges.

For the fridge clearance. A jig saw or a router with a milling bit.
